its no steak & potato, but it is the postseason

some nights, my eating habits are like that of a five year old.  spaghettios, velvetta mac & cheese or something close to that texture and consistency.  other nights, its steak, grilled shrimp & a potato.

nights of ALCS baseball, its simple meals like this.  pasta and sauce (with olives, of course!) garlic bread happily accompanied our quick meal & we washed it down with fresh baked oatmeal scotties for dessert.

theres nothing fancy at all about this meal, mainly because of the fact, that the wacky mac was not highly stocked in our pantry like i thought, so poor plain spaghetti noodles had to be a fill in for what wasn't there.  thats okay though.  throw on some homeade sauce and it all tastes the same.  and what you have is a quick hot meal that can be enjoyed at the coffee table, while rooting on your favorite MLB team.

who knows what might be for dinner tonight.  mexican chicken foil pouches?  quesadillas? who knows. after all, we do have more baseball tonight and hopefully, the @Rangers will advance to the World Series tonight in game 5 of the ALCS against the Tigers.  kudos last night again to Nelson Cruz for smashing the ball once again and taking us to another win in the #postseason.

"originality is....a by-product of sincerity"

-marianne moore

Thanks Marianne for that little thought of wisdom from my Real Simple magazine spine.

This past weekend, we somehow managed to get lots accomplished, all the while on the scavenger hunt of a lifetime for a stinkin' ALCS Champions Shirt - little luck as we didnt find one ANYWHERE that would fit Damon or I due to all our lovely fairweather/bandwagon fans.  Nothing is a bigger peeve than someone liking something only when its "the thing" to like whether because its "hot" or "they won" etc.  Ticks me and Damon off alot - more him than me.

No moment feels greater than watching "A-Hole" striking out for the 3rd out to give us the ALCS Champion.  Thank you A-Rod/Yankees for giving us our one way ticket to the World Series.  *side note*  we weren't there sadly - pictures are courtesy a zoom lens and a big screen tv

While the game was taking place, we decided it was time to carve pumpkins.. I'm apparently a horrible pumpkin carver..  If it werent for Damon and my brother we would have just had huge holes in the sides of pumpkins.

let's go rangers!

Rangers!! Rangers!!  The Championship game is upon us - Damon and I couldn't be more excited.. Atleast one team is doing something right!  Hopefully we can dominate over the Yankees and send their whiny arrogant butts home.

We will be proudly sporting our claw/antler shirts along with player shirts throughout the series!

LETS GO RANGERS!  Make Mama Proud!
